ComHumanitas, an open access and indexed academic journal, invites academics, researchers and professionals to submit their original articles for issue 16 (2), year 2025. This issue will be devoted to the analysis of disinformation, fact-checking and its impact on contemporary communication.

Under the coordination of Dr. Ingrid Viviana Estrella Tutivén, expert in digital communication, educommunication and social networks, this issue seeks to delve into the challenges and opportunities of combating disinformation in a dynamic media environment.

Current Issue

Vol 16 No 1 (2025): ComHumanitas: Scientific Journal of Communication

ComHumanitas presents its Volume 16, Issue 1 (June 2025), reaffirming its commitment to rigorous scientific dissemination and critical reflection on contemporary communication phenomena. This open-topic issue offers a selection of works that address, from diverse perspectives, the challenges and transformations currently shaping the field of communication in both local and global contexts.

In line with the journal’s mission, the articles gathered here demonstrate interdisciplinary approaches, robust methodologies, and constant engagement with current theoretical frameworks. Topics explored include the analysis of political and media discourse, the effects of digitalization on communication practices, sustainability in organizational communication, new narratives in journalism, and the role of media in identity construction, among others.

The contributions come from researchers in different parts of the world, enriching the issue with a plurality of approaches, cultural contexts, and academic traditions. This diversity reinforces ComHumanitas’ aim to serve as an open, inclusive, and referential space for those who investigate communication processes through critical, applied, and transformative lenses.
